Spring into something new with CAN Young Artists Sparks of Freedom

Sparks of Freedom - creative taster sessions to find the next generation of CAN Young Artists.

The CAN Young Artists taster sessions took place in April, and included a whole range of creative activities – film, drama, creative writing using game playing – to explore what matters to young people aged between 13 – 21.  The taster sessions will culminate in the creation of a series of short films.

We had a great time over the three workshops – check out the pictures taken by Shirlaine Forrest here.

The impetus behind Sparks of Freedom is the concept of freedom.  The project aims to reach young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds as well as those from more settled communities and all Manchester postcodes.
