CAN is looking for young people aged 13 – 20 to be part of Creative Pulse, part of CAN Young Artists programme
Creative Pulse is the latest in a series of free workshops aimed at young people from new migrant and more established communities in Manchester, and we’re looking for young people to take part.
There is still time to become part of the project, so please get in touch.
Based at The Manchester College in the city centre, the Creative Pulse sessions will explore themes important to young people, including identity and belonging, using music, percussion, drama, games, and visual arts. Young people can build on or develop their creative skills.
Check out photographs of the workshops so far here!
All levels of English are welcome, there’s free food and travel costs are covered.
Workshops take place on Wednesday evenings between 5.30pm – 8pm
Wednesday 17 April – Wednesday 24 July, excluding Wednesday 29 May during half term.
The project ends with summer holiday rehearsals on Tuesday July 23, between 11am and 3.30 pm and Wednesday, July 24, between 11am and 2.30pm.
Rehearsals are followed by a sharing of work for friends and family on Wednesday, July 24, between 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

Our young people’s programme responds to the life challenges young people face and the negative social and emotional impacts of migration and the asylum system that they experience.
CAN supports young people to grow their self-confidence and self-esteem. Through creative activity, young people develop a sense of pride in their cultural expression, heritage, and identity.
CAN Young Artists has a strong track record of bringing young people from diverse communities together, strengthening intercultural connections, and helping young people feel less isolated through new friendships.
