CAN is recruiting for Creative Producers/Project Managers

Community Arts North West works with communities and artists in Greater Manchester, especially those who are new to the UK, to create exciting new work that is co-created through artistic dialogue.

It’s been a tough time for our communities and the pandemic has shone the light on some serious social justice issues. This is an important time to really make sure the diverse communities of Manchester have a voice through the arts and have access to fantastic creative opportunities.

We need to build a team that will help us make this new work happen. If you have fantastic creative ideas, are highly organised, brilliant at relating to people, and are committed to social justice, you might be just the person we are looking for and we’d love to hear from you.

We know that people work in different ways and have different ambitions, so this could be a three or four-day week salaried role as a Creative Producer, developing new programmes over the next year, or maybe longer; or it could be a shorter-term freelance contract, managing an event or project.

We especially encourage people who live in the communities most affected by the pandemic, and/or people who have migrant heritage to get in touch.

Whoever you are, if this opportunity gets you excited and you think you have the right skills, please get in touch.

Send us your CV and a letter telling us:

1. Why you are interested in CAN.

2. What you’ve done before that shows you have the right experience, skills and qualities, especially your experience of working with a team of artists to produce excellent creative programmes and events.

3. How you would approach designing and managing projects with the communities CAN works within Manchester.

4. How many days per week you’re available and when you’re available to start.

Please send your CV and letter to us by 9 AM on Monday 11 October 2021 to recruitment@can.uk.com

Interviews will be held in the weeks beginning Monday 11 October and Monday 18 October 2021.

We can’t wait to hear from you!
