CAN is proud to be supporting the internationally acclaimed Iranian Musician-Composer, Seyed Ali Jaberi and the Hamdel Ensemble as part of our talent development scheme in 2018 – 2019.
We’re delighted that Seyed Ali Jaberi has been successful in securing ACE funding for a national tour of All Because of Love; a music composition, combining hauntingly beautiful Sufi music and dance, bringing the poetry of Persia’s beloved mystic poet Rumi to life.
All Because of Love presents a devotional Sufi setting of Rumi’s poetry, considered in the Middle East to be the ultimate expression of wisdom and love, with contemporary and traditional music compositions by Jaberi.
The production is accompanied by a post-show discussion and a chance for audiences to learn more about Rumi’s spiritual philosophy and the Sufi music traditions of Persia.
This national tour is jointly presented by Seyed Ali Jaberi and The Hamdel Ensemble and CAN, in association with Manchester’s Band on the Wall, with support from Arts Council England.
