Digital Sparks is a digital media project produced by CAN and developed by The Petrus Community who provide support to people with housing needs.
The creative process is led by AlbinoMosquito, a leading creative agency based in the heart of Manchester, who deliver sets and AV design for theatre, music videos, documentaries, app development, viral marketing campaigns, animation and gallery installation work.
Digital Sparks resulted in two short films, RoofLess and There’s a Hole in My Sidewalk that were shown at Touchstones Gallery and other venues across Rochdale
Roofless is a moving video portrait of the lives of people who are in housing need, and are involved with the Petrus Community. There’s a Hole in My Sidewalk is a short allegory about addiction based on the poem by Portia Nelson.
Digital Sparks was funded by Arts Council England through Grants for the Arts.

Emotional afternoon watching rushes back from the documentary interviews – tears of sadness and joy.
Fantastic weather for our third day of filming. In the morning we managed to get some cutaways for the documentary and an interview with Jo.
Today was the second day of filming. We got lots of good interviews for the documentary despite the weather outside. Here are a few photos of us battling in the rain in order to get our shots.
