How Night Came – 2018

On Saturday 7th April 2018 Kámoši Juniors Performing Arts Group performed ‘How Night Came’, a Brazilian folk tale told by Baba Yaga, Eastern Europe’s most famous witch.

The performance took audiences on a spell-binding journey to discover how night falls through music, storytelling, shadow puppetry and dance whilst meeting Night, from the deep seas, and Light from the Earth. Could they both find a place to call home?

The free event was held at the Turnpike Centre in Leigh, and was supported by Wigan Music Service, Ethnic Minority Achievement Service (EMAS), Leigh Central Primary School, St Peters C.E. Primary School, Leigh Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School and the Turnpike Centre.
