Free Training for Unemployed Artists

CAN Do Creatives

Are you an artist who needs support to build a successful career in the UK?

CAN is offering FREE training for unemployed creatives and community leaders who use the arts to empower their communities.

CAN DO Creatives will support you with:

Employability: CV and profile development, how to present yourself and your ideas.

Setting up for Creative work: Registering for tax and self-employment, health and safety for artists.

Promotion: How to promote your work online.

Funding: How to write up a project idea, how to budget, how to respond to a commission brief.

Networking: Build your creative networks and links with Greater Manchester’s arts organisations and networks.
The course is supportive and friendly, and you’ll be learning alongside other creative people with diverse skills and backgrounds.

The course beginning in September will be delivered by Zoom with possible group sessions if conditions allow.

This is the time to build your skills, networks, and get ready to work in the creative sector.

Places are limited – make your application now.  Closing date for Phase One of CAN DO Creative: Friday 4 September 2020.

To take part you must be:

  • Aged 19 or over
  • Living in Greater Manchester
  • Unemployed and in receipt of full universal credit, or have no income of your own
