MIRO to perform at Edinburgh Festival

Manchester International Roots Orchestra (MIRO) will be performing as part of the prestigious Edinburgh Festival this summer. MIRO is a musically diverse orchestra nurturing collaboration between international musicians, including refugees and other culturally diverse backgrounds. They’ll perform at St John’s Church, Princes Street on 1 August 2014. Tickets are available here.

Film of Kamosi and KAL performance

Young Roma rappers from Kámoši youth group in Leigh performed with internationally-acclaimed Serbian Roma Band, KAL at Manchester Academy 3 on 6 Nov 2013. Kámoši, meaning ‘friend’ in Slovak, includes Slovakian, Czech Republic and Roma-heritage young people & their friends – this being the first time that they’d perform at such a high-profile gig.
