Citizen Change

Each year, young people from Wigan’s Kámoši and the Manchester programme get a chance to work together to perform as part of the Truth about Youth Festival at the Royal Exchange Theatre.

In November 2013, young women from Kámoši and a small group from Manchester worked over six weeks to produce Citizen Change, a lyrical manifesto, created by the young people combining drama, lyrics, movement, traditional and hip hop dance to an audience in the studio space of the Royal Exchange Theatre.

In July 2012, The Machine Speaks to Rafiki-Kamosi brought together young people from both Wigan and Manchester to fuse elements from their performances in a dynamic piece that wowed audiences in the Atrium space of the Royal Exchange Theatre.
