Recent Case Study
In 2012, CAN was commissioned by Manchester Art Gallery to target specific artists who could respond to an artist’s brief as part of the ‘We Face Forward’, a season of contemporary art and music from West Africa. CAN was able to advise on appropriate methods of engagement and to target specific artists with West African art-form specialisms. As a result of CAN’s work Manchester Art Gallery received an excellent response to their call-out and were able to engage with a range of new artists.
“It was great to be able to speak to Katherine on the phone in the run up to the event and she was very organised with what we needed to do. CAN’s outreach was very useful and we couldn’t have identified artists with a connection to West Africa without it” (Alex Thorp, Family Learning Manager, MAG)
