CAN Young Artists (CYA) prepares for HOME!

CYA (CAN Young Artists) are a new theatre group comprised of young people aged 12 -18. Since November, they have been working every Thursday on the Macbeth themes of prophecy , status and power for a new production “What’s Done, Is Done”, that will be performed at HOME, Manchester’s new arts venue on 19th March 2016.

As part of the World Stages Festival in association with the Young Vic and Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Community Arts North West and HOME bring you a brand new piece of theatre created by a company of talented young people from across Manchester. Taking inspiration from Macbeth, one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, the piece sets a contemporary narrative against the plays’ classic themes. Power, guilt and the supernatural are explored through dance, music, movement and drama; as the ensemble asks, “How far would you go to get the respect of your peers?”

19th March 2016
