Come & meet 20 talented artists & creatives who’ve been part of our Do I.T. digital media training course

Artists Do I.T. networking event

On September 11th 2013 CAN hosted a networking event for artists & creatives who had taken part of our Do I.T. digital media training course from July-September 2013.

Do I.T. is funded through the European Social Fund and aims to raise the profile of artists & creatives from culturally diverse & refugee backgrounds by developing digital media skills & online presence that will increase opportunities for employment.

The artists who took part on the course work in a diverse range of media including visual arts, music, theatre, film, dj-ing, puppet-making and journalism and have all been using free and open source software to document, record and promote their work.

Examples of the tools we’ve been using are on the Do I.T. blog http://mcrblogs.co.uk/doit/

The event took place at Mad Lab 36-40 Edge Street M4 1HN in Manchester’s Northern Quarter (opposite Common Bar)
