Street Dreams
Street Dreams was the concluding theatre production of a trilogy that is CAN’s Urban Music Theatre Programme. The project brought together young refugees, asylum seekers and other culturally diverse young people from Manchester, Rochdale and Bolton in an eclectic mix of workshops, collaborations, rehearsals and performances. Street Dreams puts together the stories, experiences, dreams, energies and longings of a cast of 42 young people, weaving drama, vocals, emceeing, music, dance and digital art into an alchemic mix of original Hip Hop Theatre. Street Dreams was performed over three nights at The Zion Arts Centre, Manchester in December 2008.
