Can a woman hold up a building? Can there be two versions of me? Is there really such a thing as a happy ending? Is Manchester the city of love or the herald of the apocalypse? These questions and more will be answered through the medium of film.

Four workshops in 2 days are all that’s needed for a group of people from all over the world to embark on an intensive, four-day film-making fest.

Community Arts North West and AlbinoMosquito present a screening of short films from new and seasoned film makers whose backgrounds include France, Nigeria, England, Mauritius, Portugal, Congo, Libya, Iran, Mozambique, Spain, Burma and Scotland.

EXODUS SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL

What?
Exodus Shorts was a unique film festival, over 5 years, it showcased the talents of refugee filmmakers as well as short films, giving a fresh and diverse perspective on the lives of migrant communities.

When?
The last year of screenings took place across Manchester and in Liverpool during Refugee Week, 15-21 June 2009. Venues included Cornerhouse, Urbis (Manchester) and Picturehouse@FACT (Liverpool).
